When Joe Biden was Vice President under Barack Obama, the treatment of our Veterans was awful. Although Biden should have regarded treatment of our Veterans as a sacred duty, the VA Healthcare scandal that rocked the nation in 2014 proved just how harmful the Obama-Biden policies really were. During the scandal, countless Veterans were dying while waiting to be seen for chronic issues and thousands more were stuck on “black” waiting lists while leaders like Biden ignored the debt we owe our military heroes. The socialized system that burdened our Veterans was an abject failure in both medicine and federal administration.

Recently, we launched a pledge in which we ask Americans to stand by our Veterans and uphold our obligation to provide them with the world class healthcare they deserve. When we reached out on Facebook with our mission to stop Democrats’ goal of socialized medicine for our Veterans, your support could not have been more clear. When JoAnn Burton Glock said, “Our Veterans definitely deserve better,” we could not agree more: our Veterans definitely deserve better than a return to the Obama-Biden approach of neglect, disrespect, and mistreatment.

Still, other supporters point out the grim picture that the medical treatment our Veterans suffered through would be the fate of us all in a Socialized Joe Biden society. Deborah Giles-Schipper had this to say: “The VA is a prime example of what would happen with Medicare For All.”

And as Democrats across the country hype the benefits of Socialized Care, Donna Hunter highlighted their hypocrisy: “How about asking the homeless out in California on the streets, how’s that Democratic plan for free housing working out for them and how is that Democrat plan for free healthcare working out for them in the biggest socialist state in the country.” Thankfully, we have a choice in securing the best care for ourselves and for our great Veterans.

“Vets have it better now, they can see any Doctor.” This was pointed out by Jamie Lewis, who commented on our Facebook post, highlighting what is on the line for Veterans in this year’s election.

President Donald Trump’s signature achievement for American Veterans was securing Veteran’s Choice in healthcare. No secret waiting lists, no cover ups, just the right for our Veterans to find the best healthcare options for them, when they need it.

In a survey conducted by DisabledVeterans.org, 82% of Veterans who responded answered that the Administration of Barack Obama and Joe Biden did not leave them better off. This November is our chance to make sure they don’t have to go back to the dehumanizing medical policies of the Obama-Biden Administration.

Coalition for American Veterans PAC was founded by a group of citizens concerned with the treatment our veterans have received since returning from duty, going months and years without seeing their families and risking their lives, only to come home to politicians that do not support them.
