Many observers felt that the Democratic National Convention, held August 17 to August 20, was a bland, boring, and ineffective affair. One commentator noted that it was an “absolute snoozefest … the world’s worst Zoom meeting combined with the world’s worst late-night infomercial.”

Certainly, the production values were a problem and a negative aspect of the convention. But this is not surprising. After all, the convention had an overall negative emphasis – focused on personal attacks on the President while tending to ignore policy issues of concerns to the American people.

Deep down, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris probably sense that their favorite issues – sanctuary cities, defunding the police, gun control, deference to China and Iran, open borders – are not too popular with the voters.

With the American people deeply concerned about the widespread violence, looting, and rioting in many cities across the nation, it was surreal to watch the Biden, Harris, and the Democrats to totally ignore this issue during their convention.

One conservative commentator said that the Democratic convention completely avoided even mentioning “the disorder that has caused countless millions of dollars in property damage, killed and injured innocent people, and contributed to rising lawlessness in cities around the country. About that, they maintained a discreet silence….  As far as the Democrats were concerned, recent events that have had a profound effect on urban communities — places almost uniformly governed by Democratic mayors — simply never happened.”

But such criticism was not limited to conservative pundits. CNN’s Don Lemon, one of the most far left TV commentators said that the Democrats were “ignoring” the looting and rioting. “I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away, and it’s not going to go away,” Lemon said.

This is bad news for the Democrats, because it gives voters even more reason to reject the Biden-Harris ticket on November 3rd.

Coalition for American Veterans PAC was founded by a group of citizens concerned with the treatment our veterans have received since returning from duty, going months and years without seeing their families and risking their lives, only to come home to politicians that do not support them.
