“As the nation enters the final days of the presidential election campaign, the Coalition for American Veterans is releasing a riveting documentary film, ‘The Choice,’ in which Veterans speak out on the election and on key issues facing our nation’s heroes.” – Associated Press
When we decided to produce our documentary “The Choice” leading into Election 2020, we had two primary concerns: To give military veterans a voice to get their stories into the public and to present to the audience exactly what was at stake in the Presidential Election. As noted by DrRichSwier.com:
“The Veterans also discuss the traumatic effects of war – injuries (physical and psychological), depression, drug addiction, alcoholism, and suicide. In their interviews, they criticize the Obama-Biden administration for its neglect of veterans, sounding the alarm about a return to such policies if the Biden-Harris ticket is elected.”
Since the attacks of September 11th, the United States has been in a state of war and our veterans have answered the call of our nation only to be mistreated by those we have elected to lead us. For decades Joe Biden has resided in various seats of government, yet it wasn’t until Donald Trump came along that many meaningful changes were enacted on behalf of our veterans. Now, Joe Biden is back and the viewers of “The Choice” are sounding the alarm.
Joe Biden was second in command when the VA scandal broke during Barack Obama’s tenure. Viewers like Charles Wright believed that this documentary was essential viewing for anyone in the VA system:
As noted by many, the VA Healthcare System under Obama
and Biden was a stain on our nation. Countless died while sitting on secret waiting lists and very few were held accountable.
Success overhauling the VA System is just one example of President Trump’s leadership, something Veteran Stacy Coger knew Joe Biden lacked throughout his long career in Washington, D.C.
Being a man of action, not politics or rhetoric, gives Donald Trump the edge over Biden for many of our viewers.
As one viewer pointed out, the radical difference in media treatment of the two candidates has greatly skewed the perception of Joe Biden’s failures during his tenure as Vice President.
Despite the many victories of Donald Trump’s presidency and the dangerous shortcomings of Joe Biden’s time in office, it appears our nation will be faced with another four years of Biden in office. Instead of a fresh start, our nation is on the brink of a dangerous step back into familiar territory.
